How can I prepare my own texture of globe for displaying in WebGL Earth?

You need to prepare from your image the Mercator tiles - the same which are in use by Google Maps / OpenStreetMap and other project. Easiest is probably to use GDAL2Tiles and follow this tutorial: 

Once MapTiler is fixed this process is going to be significantly simplified, because you would be able to use the MapTiler user interface.
